CMA Foundation Course Exam is an entrance test to select students for CMA course. It is a difficult exam which needs complete dedication and 100% focus. The CMA Foundation Entrance Test is conducted in Online Mode, consisting of four papers.

Paper 1: Fundamentals of Economics and Management (50 Marks)

Paper 2: Fundamentals of Accounting (50 Marks)

Paper 3: Fundamentals of Laws & Ethics (50 Marks)

Paper 4: Fundamentals of Business Mathematics and Statistics (50 Marks)

The test is conducted in 2 sessions, each of the session will have 100 MCQs carrying 1 mark for each question. There will be a total of 200 questions for both the sessions, carrying a total of 200 marks. Each session would be of two hour duration.

  • Know the syllabus

The CMA Foundation Exam will be based on Syllabus 2012. Sort out important topics for the examination and study those in details. Each of the four papers would have certain portions/topics in the syllabus that would have greater weightage over others, have complete clarity on those. Knowing your syllabus will help you define your study plan and concentrate well for your exam.

  • Refer your notes

This is the time, when all your notes would come for your rescue. Exam is approaching and you have limited amount of time to catch up on all topics. Your short notes would help you revise about different topics quickly and easily. This way you wouldn’t miss an opportunity to cover all topics and dedicate more time to study critical topics and solve numerical questions.

  • Cover highlights of each topic or lesson

There would be hundreds of topics and lessons and not all would be important for exam. Rather than missing out on any topic, remember key points in each lesson or topic. This way you wouldn’t miss out on any topic and spend little time on not very important topics and save time for critical topics.

  • Have concepts clarity

Understanding concepts is very important to solve any question. If you are attempting theoretical questions, you would be able to answer any type of questions. And if you are answering numerical or accountancy questions, it is important to remember necessary formulae, and methods of solving a problem. Also learn about statistics. You must have complete clarity of concepts, to tackle any type of questions.

  • Ask an expert

Don’t shy away when you are in doubt about a concept, rather ask your teachers, fellow students, check out discussion forums like Quora, Yahoo Answers etc. to find answers to your queries. When you have a doubt, ask and get clarified. Learn from CMA experts or people who have answer to your questions.

  • Solve previous questions

Solve last few years question papers to understand exam patterns and questions. You will able to understand what kind of questions are asked and what kind of mark allocated is done for important topics. Always remember to set a timer, when you are about to start attempting a question paper, this will help you speed up.

  • Short breaks are necessary

Well, this is a pressing time and we know under what kind of pressure you are going through. Studying for hours together would harm your mental performance capacity, so take short breaks and stay upbeat and fresh to tackle the CMA foundation exam challenge well.

  • Avoid source of distractions

There are so many mediums and entertainment options that can distract you a lot. A major source of distractions are Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp etc., stay away and find time to read more. You will need a little more concentration and stay consciously away from these sources of distractions.
